Our Lady of Hope Parish was established in 2002 after an extensive amalgamation process. The word parish means a geographical territory and an administrative unit within a larger territory called a diocese. Our Lady of Hope Parish includes the former smaller parishes of St. Anthony’s, St. Clement’s and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Our Lady of Hope makes up what is called the West End of Sudbury.
St. Clement’s church was sold and is now the Marguerite Lougheed Community Centre.
St. Anthony’s church has been re-designated as only a worship site.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help church became the mother church, renamed and extensively renovated. The church interior was remodeled, more office space was added, a hall with more washrooms and meeting space was built, and more parking was installed.
The parish serves over 800 families and we have over 200 volunteers participating in our various parish committees.
